Dr Edgar Paltzer : Videos

Dr Edgar Paltzer (born 1956) is an attorney-at-law at Paltzer Private Clients, Attorneys-at-Law in Zurich, Switzerland. Throughout his career in law, Dr Paltzer has been awarded numerous honours and awards, including several from the International Wealth Transfer Practice Conference (2001-2007).

Dr Paltzer has also been involved with several professional associations, including being an LPD Council Member and Chair of the Individual Tax and Private Client Committee for the International Bar Association. Dr Paltzer was also a member of the Advisory Board for the Swiss Association of Trust Companies, a member of the Executive Council for The International Academy of Estate and Trust Law, and a Steering Committee member of the International Wealth Advisors Forum.

Dr Paltzer gained his bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Zurich Law School in 1980, after which he studied in America, where he achieved an LL.M. master’s degree from New York University in 1987. In 1989, Dr Paltzer received a Juris Doctoris degree in tax law (with thesis), and in 2008, Dr Paltzer also achieved a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Inheritance Law from the University of Zurich, which led to a place on the Swiss Bar Association as a Certified Specialist in SBA Inheritance Law.

In his Attorneys-at-Law practice, Paltzer Private Clients, Dr Paltzer offers a range of legal services, focusing mainly on coaching in legal matters. Offering an expert second opinion on legal matters is a further specialism, and Dr Paltzer also advises on estate management; estate planning, such as prenuptial agreements, donations and inheritance; judicial and extrajudicial representation; the structuring and legal maintenance of foundations and trusts; and philanthropy and art law.
